Digital Art tips: Here are 5 tips to make you pro in Digital Art | Sanjay Pasari

Every digital artist, whether novice or experienced, should work to constantly advance their abilities. Digital artists must stay up to date with the most recent developments in software and cutting-edge techniques in order to continue honing their craft.

1: Use a Drawing Tablet with pressure sensitivity

You may connect a drawing tablet to your computer's USB port once you purchase one.

Drawing tablets come in two varieties: those where you draw directly on the screen and those where you only draw on a surface while staring at the display.

The more pressure sensitivity layers a tablet offers, the easier it will be for you to add delicacy and refinement to your work.

There are several tablet brands available, including XP-Pen, iPad, and cc

If you don't already have a tablet, you can take some time to conduct some research as it isn't the topic of this piece. The key idea is that, in order to improve your workflow, you should utilize a tablet that has pressure sensitivity.

2: Become familiar with the fundamental tools.

The numerous little squares and menus that are purposefully tucked away in whatever application you're now using are called tools. For the sake of actually sketching and erasing, there are often only a handful you need to worry about.

It pays to invest a significant amount of time in learning the capabilities when you first open your digital art application. discovering the hotkey that triggers them and observing their behavior and feelings.

Consider how you may include them into your workflow or what circumstances might call for switching to these technologies.

You'll probably use the move/transform, selecting, erase, and drawing tools the most. Make it a priority to study how they work because they are the foundation of digital art and will greatly simplify your life as an artist.

3. Try to limit the number of brushes, pencils, etc.

Ultimately, this one is about simplicity. Some painters have a propensity to use a wide variety of brushes and instruments, spreading themselves extremely thin. Before they have a chance to become comfy on the previous one, they jump onto the next one. It's not the ideal method for learning, and it's certainly not the best method for achieving the kind of steady progress that will encourage you to keep studying.

So, stick to the program's fundamental two or three. Or, choose one or two brushes/tools from that set and stay with them if you do download and add additional brushes/tools. Make sure they're incredibly functional and suitable for a range of uses rather than just a few specific ones.

4. Employ layers

One of the biggest benefits of going digital for artists is layers. They provide you the flexibility to doodle, improve, and experiment.

Whatever software you're teaching yourself, it's important to learn how to use the layer menu. Learn how to move them about, toggle them on and off, combine them, organize them, and other such operations. Understanding the layer menu can help you improve your processes and add to your process.

5. Avoid becoming overly reliant on ctrl + z.

For Mac users, use Cmd+Z instead.

This one is fairly easy. You can be becoming dependent if your fingers are always on the shortcut. This reliance on the "undo" feature can hinder your productivity, hinder your ability to learn, and lead to crutches that you will eventually have to get rid of.

While it might be a useful tool for preventing damage to your work, avoid becoming dependent on it to the point that you can't complete it. You won't grow as quickly as those who own their faults and find alternative methods to make amends if you're constantly attempting to attain the "perfect line" or are too careful for the sake of perfection.
